Van-Swing pivoting module with hinge on the left side
NEW: The Van-Swing with hinge on the left side is now also available for Ford Transit Custom from 2014 onwards.
A known problem with van conversions is finding a suitable bicycle carrier. Bike carriers on the towbar block the rear doors when these have to be opened. Many are too heavy for bike racks on the rear doors or hinges and the bikes have to be lifted up high.
The perfect solution to this is the Van-Swing pivoting module. By fitting the easy pivoting module to an existing of to be fitted towbar you can use your own bike carrier. You do not have to remove your bicycles or rack when opening the rear doors. The pivoting module gives you the option to swing the bike carrier with bikes open so you can open both doors.
The Van-Swing uses the existing fitting points on the towbar. In most cases the module can be fitted to the existing towbar. If you question if your towbar is suitable, contact your dealer or Memo to check. If there is no towbar fitted yet, we can supply towbars for most vans. The Van-Swing pivoting module is not suitable for towing.
Because the module is fitted to the towbar the bike carrier is at knee height. This is ideal, since you will not have to lift up high. Due to the use of existing fitting points there are no modifications to the vehicle necessary. The module is available for all Ducato models from 2006 onwards, for the Volkswagen T5 and T6, the Renault Master from 2003 untill 2010 and Ford Transit Custom from 2014 onwards. The module can be provided for other vehicles or models on request. The Van-Swing is supplied with an integrated 13 pin socket to extend the existing socket.

Why is there a screw in the ball?
It is not allowed to tow a trailer with the Van-Swing. The ball has been adjusted so that the coupling of a trailer does not fit properly.
What happens if the screw is removed from the ball?
The product continues to function, however, the European type approval of the Van-Swing will no longer be valid.
